Dear Spring Exchange Students,

 

I hope you are all doing well and enjoying the Holiday Season. We will begin the registration process in mid January for the spring term.  As mentioned previously we have transitioned into a new online system which will expedite the visa process for all of you.  

 

Among the documents you will be asked to have on hand are a recent bank statement, an electronic copy of your passport (cover page only), a jpeg photo of yourself and proof of medical insurance for the period you will be here. You can find a number of insurance providers on line by simply doing a search for "short term medical insurance USA". You can find more information about all of this on the Exchange Program's website: http://www.anderson.ucla.edu/x7630.xml.

 

Again, the term dates for the Spring term are March 31 – June 5^th and finals week is from June 6^th – 12^th.   The quarter is only ten weeks long so you should plan to schedule your stay for this full period of time.  The Orientation for the Spring Exchange group will be held on March 28^th from 9am – 5pm.

 

Enrollment for the spring term will take place at the end of February/early March when the spring schedule is posted. I will keep you informed of this and guide you through the process.

 

Lastly, please note that UCLA does not have dormitory housing available for exchange students so you will need to find an apartment in the surrounding neighborhoods. I will send you more information on this topic in January to help you get started early.
